Blitz & Bughouse Tournament

BLITZ & BUGHOUSE TOURNAMENT

At Capital Christian Center 

  

This tournament is being run by Erica Barkell as a fundraiser to help her go to Uganda.  Come support her and her team, & enjoy this fun event! 

Blitz: Check in 8:30am

Bughouse: Check in 11:30am

Blitz and Bughouse time controls will be game in 5 (5 minutes on each side of the clock), double-round swiss (5 rounds playing each opponent 2 games, as both white and black).  Players may register for bughouse with a partner, or be paired up at the event. Trophies will be awarded as prizes!

This tournament is open to adults and scholastics. Bring a clock if you have one.  Concessions will be available. Donations are always appreciated!

  

Cost:

Blitz: $15 per person                Pre-Register by April 13th

 *$10 if also playing bughouse        Add $2 for late registration

Bughouse: $20 per team             Make checks out to Erica Barkell.

Uganda

I’d like to let you all know about the amazing opportunity I have coming up in January. I have the privilege of going to Uganda with group of 15 young adults from my church (Capital Christian Center). We are going to an orphanage in Kampala and will be working with the kids and helping build a high school for them. This will be my first time out of the US, which is a little scary, but very exciting. I’ve dreamt of going on a mission trip for awhile, and as most of you know, I love kids!
